We stand in silence

Our Welland Park creative writers have written some inspirational Remembrance Day “Lest We Forget” poems. You can read all the others from the links at the bottom.

They say if we forget history

We are doomed to repeat it.

Thus, let’s not forget it

So, we stand in silence

 In peace and tranquillity

Once a year, every November

2 minutes of silence

For those who lost their lives

Those who lost family members

And those who lost everything.

2 minutes of silence

For those who sacrificed themselves

To fight a terrible man

And those who watched and couldn’t help

So, yet again

They say if we forget history

We are doomed to repeat it.

So, let’s not forget.

Let’s not forget.
