Speak Out Project

Speak Out is about empowering young people to tell their own story and listen and learn from others. We are a youth-centred website and magazine.

Speak Out is a warm, creative hub for young people that fosters friendships and inspires confidence.

If you join our face-to-face group you will learn about the whole magazine production process as well as writing articles, stories and creating artwork.

We also work with schools and provide briefs for students to follow. Work is published in our magazine and our website.

If you are an individual who loves writing or art you can work with us remotely.

Contact us via the link at the bottom of the page and we can see how we can help.

Join our face-to-face group on Thursdays from 5 to 6.30, term-time only, at The Symington Building in Market Harborough or work with us remotely

Our project encompasses a magazine, published three times a year, and our website.

It is run by the registered charity HCYC

Furthermore, we are incredibly grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for their invaluable support in expanding our Speak Out Project and helping to fund our website.

Speak Out invests in the young. The young are the future visionaries, the renegades, the rebels and the storytellers. And yet, so little – too little - time, space and energy is dedicated to nurturing young people and empowering them with the confidence to grasp the present and the future in both hands.

We want to hear what you have to say.

Where to find us

In addition to this website which features all our latest articles and much much more, our Speak Out magazines are found in local schools, Market Harborough library and youth groups and available to an ever-growing, engaged readership.

If you would like copies of our latest edition of the magazine at your youth group, school or venue, please get in touch.
