For our last creative writing competition we invited you to explore creativity through two inspiring themes: Someone You Admire/A Role Model or The Winter Season. The entries were full of heartfelt words and vivid imagery, making it a tough decision for our judges. Here is Arwen Price’s entry from Robert Smyth Academy.
She leaves as quick as she comes, leaving some more
knowing than others …
She leaves with her breeze, cold, merciless and nasty.
Her whip of freeze, hits the trees’ leaves
which vanish along with summers warmth. People shiver,
covering themselves in
threaded wool.
Praying for summer to return
it will eventually …
