I went to see Paddington in Peru last weekend at the cinema, and I was impressed! Here’s what I have to say about it:
This review contains minor spoilers. No major spoilers ahead.
Paddington with a twist
Paddington in Peru. Where is the story set, do you wonder? Peru! This time, Paddington is off for an adventure in the Amazon Rainforest. Accompanying him, as usual, is the Brown family. Mr. Brown, who has been told to embrace risks at his job in an insurance firm, is surprisingly happy to fly out with the family the next day for an adventure. In Paddington’s homeland of Peru, there are more twists and turns than ever before as trickery awaits when Paddington discovers that his dear Aunt Lucy is missing. A necklace, a nun and some oranges lead the way.
This Paddington story brings familiar faces but a different adventure to the audience, who will be thoroughly entertained throughout. Comedy, drama and a dramatic discovery await!
Brace yourselves
There was definitely something in my eye for the final scenes, which were emotional as Paddington makes a decision on his future. Does he part ways with the Browns, or does he want to stay with them? What does he do? As always with Paddington Bear, whilst this movie has moments of sadness, you will end laughing!
Will there be more?
I very much hope that there will be more from the world of Paddington and the Brown family. Only time will tell!
